Our Christmas Cabaret Concert went very well last Friday night, with a big surprise on the night. Susan Jaggar was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship from Castleford Rotary Club. This was for services to youth and the community and is the highest recognition that can be awarded to a member of Rotary. What made it extra special was that Susan isn't a member of Rotary so it was an even greater honor! Congratulations Susan!

As usual, January to March sees our 'down time' while we look at new music for the new concert season. Our next concert will take place on Friday 9th March at All Saints Parish Church, North Featherstone (WF7 6AR)

A few of our members will be performing at Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre on Saturday between 10-11 to raise money for Help the Aged.

October
Our performance at Junction 32 in Castleford at the weekend went very well. Once again we were lucky with the weather, and lots of the local shoppers hung around to watch us perform. An update on how much we raised will be included once the amount has been confirmed.

We will be having two weeks off at October half term this year; there will be no rehearsal on Friday 28th October or on Friday 4th November. We will meet on Friday 11th November, ahead of our concert at Kirthorpe on 18th November. For details of this new concert, click here.

Another reminder that CYM are still looking for someone to come along and help our Choir Director. Hopefully this would eventually lead to taking over the directorship of the choir. This is a voluntary position and rehearsals are held on Friday evenings 7pm-9pm (term time only). This would be a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys choral work with a membership of young people aged between 8 and 25 years.
