Castleford Young Musicians is a concert band and choir of approximately 50 musicians and singers primarily between the ages of 8 and 25, based in West Yorkshire, England. We meet every Friday evening in term time at St Joseph's Primary School, Pontefract Road, Castleford to prepare for regular concerts throughout Yorkshire.

Presentation Concert 2024 - Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre

Our 2024 Annual Concert will once again take place at Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre in Castleford. This year our main concert of the year will be on Friday 21st June, with a 7pm start. Tickets are available now for just £6 adults, with kids going free. The admission includes Prosecco (for the adults!) and soft drinks, and tickets must be booked in advance (including child tickets please).

We are recruiting!

We are currently recruiting singers and wind instrumentalists of any age to come and join the choir and band. If you are interested, we'd love to see you at one of our rehearsals (either to take part, or just sit and listen!) We rehearse every Friday evening (excluding school holidays and concert nights) at St Joseph's Primary School in Castleford, from 7:15pm.

Our annual patron's scheme 'Friends of CYM' is a great way to support Castleford Young Musicians if you're not musical or you fall outside our membership age range! Memberships are just £12 (single) and £15 (joint) for 12 months.
